FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We specialize in functional softgoods, products built to perform, travel, and endure. That includes:
• Base layers and performance activewear
• Outdoor lifestyle and field apparel for mountain or global pursuits
• Hunt, fish, and tactical gear designed for specific missions
• Bags, carry systems, gloves, headwear, and accessories
• Highly technical outerwear systems, engineered for environments as demanding as summiting Everest
We make your products where they should be made, from the position of where the expert craftsmen are to build the goods, where the raw materials are easily accessed and where it aligns with your pricing target and goals. We don’t force products to be made in any country that doesn’t make sense. With that said, we primarily work with factories in Vietnam, but also have great resources in Indonesia, Bangladesh, Portugal, India, Cambodia, China and more.
We have a full time in-house team, in our Fort Collins studio. We do sometimes utilize some of our long time working freelance relationships for some design projects if we need some additional support at times, but mostly all in-house.
Great! If they are good we would gladly work with them. Will will of course audit them, but welcome working with a great factory that you love.
It depends on the products, but you can plan on around a year. This is from kick off, design period, development and sampling phase, production of the goods and then shipping to your destination. The most lengthy periods include all the prototype sampling & testing, material production and then of course the final product production.
Yes, you sure can, but I would be cautious about factories on Alibaba for your main goods, as you never really know who’s making it, if they even have a factory, and so much is hidden. In regards to the ones you've heard that make for Arc'teryx, Yeezy, Supreme, etc, if these factories are in fact the ones that make for these brands you can be pretty certain they are top level and do not have capacity or interest in risking their capacity with a new brand. However, WERX does currently work with factories that produce for these and many other top brands so we have existing relationships that we’re able to leverage for our brand partners, and get you into factories that otherwise might be impossible.
