INTRO
WERX and LIVSN first connected at the 2016 Outdoor Retailer show, bonding over a shared belief that clothing should be purposeful, enduring, and free of excess. Founded on the Swedish concept of livsnjutare—“one who lives life deeply”—LIVSN set out to create apparel so well-crafted you’d never need anything else. To bring that philosophy to life, they tapped WERX to help design a category-defining outdoor pant.


GOAL
The mission was simple but ambitious: To build the best outdoor pant in the market, while minimizing environmental impact.
LIVSN wanted a pant that moved seamlessly between trail, town, and travel—combining versatility, sustainability, and comfort in a single design.
From there, the goal was to grow and build durable, thoughtfully designed apparel for people who value experiences over things.

PROCESS
LIVSN partnered with WERX to rethink the outdoor pant from the ground up. We started with research to define performance needs, then developed a proprietary durable & sustainably woven fabric with an elevated hand-feel. Through multiple rounds of prototyping, we refined fit & mobility, ultimately shaping the Flex Canvas Pant into a product that balanced rugged durability with intentional simplicity. Along the way, we managed sourcing and scaling with trusted manufacturing partners to prepare for launch.




RESULTS
The Flex Canvas Pant became more than just a garment—it embodied LIVSN’s design ethos and carved out a unique space in the outdoor market. The product launched through multiple Kickstarter campaigns that exceeded funding goals and validated strong product-market fit. Recognition followed, with GearJunkie naming them “Favorite Pants of 2020” and features in Outside Magazine amongst other publications & awards.

Today, LIVSN has expanded beyond pants into a full apparel system, including overalls, trail shorts, and women’s styles. With products now carried in more than 125 retail locations and steady year-over-year growth, the brand has established itself as a durable, thoughtful alternative to fast outdoor fashion—staying true to its original vision of intentional simplicity.
